Edulyt started its journey in 2015 and has grown continuously over the last eleven years. In that time the problem set has stayed remarkably consistent: a financial institution has a decision to make, the data needed to make it is fragmented, and the answer has to hold up to scrutiny.

We work with institutions across India, the United States and the United Kingdom. The team is around forty analytics and data science professionals, most of whom have spent their careers close to portfolios rather than close to tooling.

    The business problem comes first

    We start with the objective and the decision behind it. A model that answers the wrong question is worse than no model, because it carries authority it has not earned.

    The technology is chosen, not assumed

    AI, machine learning, Python, SAS, SQL and statistical modelling are means. Which one appears in an engagement depends entirely on the problem in front of us.

  3. 03

    A model has to be defensible

    Work that goes into a credit policy or a regulatory conversation needs to be explainable to people who did not build it. That constraint shapes how we model.

    The deliverable is a decision

    Not a report, not a dashboard, not a notebook. The output is something a business can act on and keep monitoring after we hand it over.
